Overview of the role:

The person in this position will play a key role in the management of the company’s accounting and finance functions, internal and statutory reporting. This role will ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial matters and contribute by analysing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends.


Key responsibilities:

  • Accounting operations: Manage all accounting operations including but not limited to billing, receivables, payables, GLs, bank and other reconciliations.
  • Month and year-end close: Responsible for the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Statutory financial requirements: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation for tax submissions and financial statement audits.
  • Payroll and expense management:Responsible for the payroll process and expense claim management for employees, as well as any related queries.
  • VAT:Preparation and submission of VAT returns and recapitulative statements.
  • Budgeting: Support with the preparation and updating of rolling budgets
  • Process improvement: Support the rest of the finance team with development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. The company is committed to supporting automation wherever feasible and effective.
  • Reporting and analysis: Support with regular analysis of financial and other related reports with the aim of identifying trends and assisting decision making.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Proven experience as an all-rounder accountant or FC.
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in accounting or ACCA or equivalent.
  • Warranted CPA
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Growth mindset and a willingness to take ownership of key finance processes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
